Topsy turvy day at Avishayes

From the Chard & Ilminster News, first published Friday 16th Nov 2007.

YOUNGSTERS at Chard's Avishayes school are switched up today (Friday) to help raise money for Children in Need.

As part of this year's theme, do something different, teachers and pupils have switched places, leaving year six youngsters in charge of the lessons.

The children spent three weeks planning their lessons as part of their learning at home work, and worked in pairs to teach other pupils at the school.

Everyone brought in a donation with teachers dressing as pupils, children dressed as teachers, and other youngsters wearing crazy shoes and socks to get in on the act.
