Nigel Endean filled in as an emergency second row for a battling "Town" pack and he played the whole of the second half with Toby Colvin on his debut and normally a hooker as his partner.

Defences held firm in a scoreless first half with the "Cherry and Whites" enjoying an even share of possession.

Fifteen minutes after the break scrum half David Mankee booted Camborne ahead with a penalty but the lead was short lived as South African fly half Wiaan Venter equalised.

Going into the last quarter Venter nudged his side in front with another penalty goal.

Camborne strove hard to create another good field position but minutes from time the home side got the crucial solitary try of the game when their hooker Simon Mabin was driven over wide out.
