Police hunt for bag snatcher

POLICE are appealing for information after a 59 year old woman was robbed in Silver Street, Ilminster.

The woman was walking from Court Barton into the town centre when somebody ran up behind her and snatched her handbag with such force she fell to the ground.

The plucky victim picked herself up, shouted after the robber, and gave chase, assisted by staff from Bonner's the butchers. Her handbag was recovered, but the offender ran off.
