Larrieu return soon - Bent sooner

From the archive, first published Wednesday 11th Feb 2004.

Argyle keeper Roman Larrieu, who is almost back to fitness, will not take part in Friday's reserve game at Tiverton, it is believed.

The Frenchman is not going to be rushed back by manager Paul Sturrock, who has the confort of knowing that stand-in Luke McCormick is doing a great job as his replacement.

Goalkeepeing coach Geoff Crudgington has been working with Larrieu, as has physio Alan Maxwell. and it is believed that another friendly, against Yeovil on February 24, will see him return to the pitch.

Jason Bent will make his Argyle come back on Wednesday evening when the Pilgrims' reserve team take on Bristol Rovers at the home of Mangosfield Town.

Bent, who is not expected to last the full 90 minutes, has not been involved for three months through injury.

His team-mates are likely to include Ian Stonebridge, David Worrell and martin Phillips.
