Torbay's sporting superstars

The race to find Torbay's sporting superstars is fast approaching the finishing line.

The Torbay Sports Personality of the Year Awards will recognise people across Torbay for their hard work, dedication and success in local sport during 2003.

There are also categories for coaches and volunteers whose commitment helps sports people achieve high levels.

Clubs and organisations across the Bay are being encouraged to nominate people for the awards. They have until Friday 20 February to return nomination forms to organisers Torbay Council.

Nomination forms can be obtained from Sports Development Officer Vicky Tindall on 01803 207961. They can also be downloaded from the Torbay Council website at www.torbay.gov.uk

Type in sports personality in the search facility to get access to the awards information.
