Death Crash Driver Wins Appeal

THE German national who killed Newsquest journalist on the North Devon Link Road last June has had his three-year prison sentence reduced to six months.

Helmut Jordan was jailed for causing the death of Jon Andress by dangerous driving but has won his appeal against the length of sentence.

Judge Graham Cottle told him: "As a result of what happened that day, your life has been left in pieces."
